Mike Last – Testing the Move 1200 at Mount St. Louis

Mike Last has learned his craft from experience, both his own and that of many others. With no formal training except a high school photo course, he combined his love of mountain biking and snowboarding with capturing the moment for himself and friends.Eventually companies and magazines noticed his work which meant getting paid to do what he loved. Not one to sit idle, Mike used the internet to find ideas, new technologies and inspiration for future shoots. Renting and borrowing equipment from fellow photographers helped him to get the images he wanted and advance his knowledge. Mike has been inspired by many photographers in the action sports world including Tim Kemple, Jordan Manley, Sterling Lorence, Tim Zimmerman and Scott Serfas, as well as some old masters and new-age artists such as Ansel Adams, Annie Leibovitz, Steve McCurry, Joey L and Peter Lik.
